Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 October 2026
Zapper Leads ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the information privacy principles in New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020.
Who this policy covers
- Trade businesses who contact us or buy leads from us.
- Homeowners who submit an enquiry about a job through one of our campaigns.
- Visitors to zapperleads.com.
Information we collect
From trade businesses: your name, business name, email address, mobile number, trade, country, service area and the lead pack you are interested in — submitted through our contact form or by email.
From homeowners: your name, mobile number, email address (if provided), suburb or location, and your answers about the job you are planning, such as job type, size, budget, timeframe and whether you own the property.
From website visitors: standard technical information that our hosting provider records when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
- To verify homeowner enquiries and match each one with a single trade business that services the area.
- To respond to trade businesses, provide pricing and deliver the leads they buy.
- To replace invalid leads, prevent fraud and keep our records accurate.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell homeowner information to data brokers, and each homeowner enquiry is passed to one trade business only.
Who we share it with
- The matched trade business, which receives the homeowner's contact details and job details so it can contact them about the job.
- Service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host (Vercel), our form delivery service (Web3Forms) and our email and CRM tools. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store information outside Australia and New Zealand, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it to a comparable standard.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing callen@zapperleads.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first so we can try to fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
